Overview
The QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4) (RQF) is an accredited, regulated and quality assured training course that is recognised throughout the UK. It is the second step within the FREC pathway and is accepted by the private ambulance and event medical sector as an entry to mid-level qualification that can qualify you to work as an Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) whilst progressing towards FREC 5 and finally the QA Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic practice which licenses you to work as a HCPC registered Paramedic within the UK.
It is also one of few qualifications that is recognised by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for licensing higher-level Close Protection Officers (CPOs) and others within executive protection, maritime and security roles. As well as this, it has been endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC) at PHEM level E, making it widely recognised and useful for securing work within high risk, remote or first responder type roles.
